Kangasnaamio asetetaan kasvoille puhdistuksen ja kasvoveden jälkeen, seerumin sijaan, annetaan vaikuttaa 10-20 minuuttia, jonka jälkeen iholle jääneen nesteen voi taputella hellävaraisesti kasvoille poispesemättä. Yleisesti kangasnaamiot soveltuvat sekä aamu- ja iltakäyttöön, ellei tuotteessa sitä erikseen mainita. Tee uusille tuotteille aina testi pienelle ihoalueelle, varmistaaksesi sen soveltuvuus ihollesi, varsinkin mikäli ihosi on herkkä. Centella's antioxidants calm the irritated by relieving inflammation and reducing redness. It also improves and regenerates the skin and supports collagen production. In addition, centella brightens and evens out the skin tone, helps the skin retain moisture and reduces the visibility of scars.

Centella can have many different names depending on which part of the plant has been used, or what kind of extracts and oils have been made from it; eg Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract and Centella Asiatica Root Extract. In many cultures, including Korea, centella is also known as Tiger grass or Tiger herb. The name comes from the legend that wounded tigers would seek out wild centella and rub themselves on the plant's leaves to heal.
